Collateral damage' is what it's called when innocent people are killed during war. It is expected and is irrelevant as long as a mission has been successful. To view it this way is easy for someone that is far away from the bloodshed, but when you're on the frontlines... the faces of the innocent will stay with you, forever.
John LeeSomeone once told me that your life begins at your earliest memory. If that is true, then my life began only a few years ago. I have no memory of who I once was, and the hands of fate have taken complete control of my existence. I am a soldier. I have up everything to fight in a war. A war that's origins or purpose I do not fully understand. I bare witness to the destruction this war brings, and I mourn those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in hopes of victory.
