My dream as a boy was to write a coloring book, but the nagging problem was always, How do you write a coloring book? Drawing from experience, I knew I’d have to learn how to properly operate a Crayola coloring device if I ever wanted to discover the inner working of the coloring book industry. Crayons are best operated with a fork and knife—you get more precision with your coloring, and they simple taste better when you eat them with silverware.
