ഉത്സവം കഴിഞ്ഞു
ഒന്നിച്ചു നൃത്തം ചവിട്ടിയവര്
അവരവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലെയ്ക ്ക് മടങ്ങി.
മഞ്ഞുപെയ്യുന്ന ഈ രാവില്,
മുനിഞ്ഞു കത്തുന്ന വിളക്കുമരത്തിനു താഴെ
ഒരാള് തനിച്ചാവുന്നു.
പിന്നീടാണ് ക്രിസ്തു വന്നത്.
അവസാനത്തെ ചങ്ങാതിയും പടിയിറങ്ങുമ്പോള ്
ആരുമറിയാതെ ഉള്ളിലേക്കെത്തു ന്ന സുഹൃത്ത്.
കുന്തിരിക്കത്തി ന്റെ ഗന്ധത്തില് നിന്ന്
നമുക്കീ തച്ചന്റെ വിയര്പ്പിലേക്ക ് മടങ്ങാം.

തിരുപിറവിയോടു ചേര്ത്തു പറയുന്നൊരായിരം കഥകളില് ഒന്നാണിത് രാത്രിയുടെ നിശബ്ദതയില് ഉണ്ണിയുടെ കരച്ചിലുയര്ന്ന പ്പോള് റാന്തല് വിളക്കുമായെത്തി യ ഇടയ സ്ത്രീകളാണ് കുഞ്ഞിനെയാദ്യം കണ്ടത്,ഗൂഹമുഖത്തു അവര് തൂക്കിയ റാന്തലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലെക് കാണ് ഉണ്ണി മിഴിതുറന്നത്. അവര് സമ്മാനിച്ച ഒരു പുതപ്പിന്റെ ചൂടിലാണ് പിന്നെ ഉറക്കിത്തിലേക്ക ് മിഴി പൂട്ടിയത്,അവര് വിളമ്പിയ പാല് കട്ടിയിലാണ് അവന്റെ ദരിദ്രരായ മാതാപിതാക്കള് അത്താഴം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.ഏറ െ വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു ശേഷം അന്നത്തെ ഉണ്ണിയുടെ നന്മകള് ഷാരോണിലെ പരിമളം പോലെ ഇസ്രയേല് മുഴുവന് പടര്ന്നു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് വാര്ദ്ധക്യത്തി ലെത്തിയ ആ ഇടയസ്ത്രീകള് പേരകിടങ്ങളെ അരികില് വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു തുടഞ്ഞി കുഞ്ഞുമക്കളെ ,ആടുകളെ മേയിച്ചു മാത്രമല്ല ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചുമരുകള് വളഞ്ഞതും ശിരസു കുനിഞ്ഞതും മറിച്ച് ഒരായിരം പേരുടെയെങ്കിലും മുന്പില് അടിമകളെ പോലെ നിന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് എന്നാല് അന്നാദ്യമായി അവന്റെ പിറവിയില് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശിരസ്സുകള് ഉയര്ന്നുനിന്നു കാരണം അവന് നമ്മളെകാള് ദരിദ്രന്. നമ്മെ ചെറുതാക്കാന്വേണ്ടിയയിരിന്നു അത് അവന് -നമ്മുടെ റാന്തലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലെക് ക് മിഴിതുറന്നവന് നമ്മുടെ പുതപ്പില് സുഖമായി അന്തിയുറങ്ങിയവന ് അവന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കള്ക ്ക് നമ്മുടെ അത്താഴം ,ആ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും പിന്നീട് അവന്റെ ഓര്മ്മകള്ക്ക് മുന്പില് ശിരസ്സുയര്ത്തി നിന്നു ...
ഇമ്മാനുവേല് ദൈവം നമ്മോടുകൂടെഉണ്ടെന്നു മാത്രമായിരിക്കി ല്ലര്ത്ഥം നമ്മെ ചെരുതാക്കാതിരിക ്കാന് നമ്മളോടൊപ്പം നമ്മളെ പോലെ എന്ന് കൂടി അര്ത്ഥമുണ്ടാകണ ം

ഇരുകരങ്ങളും നീട്ടി നമുക്കീ ക്രിസ്തുമസിനെ വരവേല്ക്കാം... കാരണം ഓരോ ക്രിസ്തുമസും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സുവിശേഷമാണ് പ്രഘോഷിക്കുക... പ്രളയകാലങ്ങള്ക ്ക് ശേഷം ചക്രവാളത്തില് തെളിയുന്ന ഒരു മഴവില്ല്... തിന്മയുടെ വിത്ത് വിതച്ച വഴലുകളില് നിന്ന് പോലും സുകൃതിയുടെ പൂക്കള് വിരിയുമെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം മന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു : ഇല്ല അവസാനത്തേത് എന്ന് പറയരുത്...ഇനിയു ം പൂക്കള് വിരിയാനുണ്ട്... ഇനിയും കിളികള് ചിലക്കാനുണ്ട്.. .ആടുകള്ക്ക് ഇനിയും ഇടയനുണ്ട്... അവനിനിയും അത്താഴമുണ്ട്...

പ്ളാറ്റ്ഫോമില് ട്രെയിന് വന്ന നേരം. അന്ധനായ കളിപ്പാട്ടവില് പ്പനക്കാരന്റെ പൊക്കണത്തെ തിരക്കില് ആരോ തട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തി. ചിതറി വീഴുന്ന കളിപ്പാട്ടങ്ങളു ടെ ഒച്ചയയാള് കേള്ക്കുന്നുണ് ട്. ട്രെയിന് കടന്നുപോയി. ആള്പെരുമാറ്റം തീരെയില്ലാത്ത ആ പ്ളാറ്റ്ഫോമില് ആരോ ഒരാള് കളിപ്പാട്ടങ്ങള് ശേഖരിച്ച് അയാളുടെ തട്ടത്തില് വക്കുന്നതയാള് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. അവസാനത്തെ കളിപ്പാട്ടം അങ്ങനെ വച്ചപ്പോള് ആ കൈകളില് മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചയാള് വിതുമ്പി: സര് , നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവാണോ ? ആ ട്രെയിന് വിട്ടുപോകട്ടെയെ ന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച നിങ്ങള് ....?
