I think of the universe as an engine. Perhaps we are a very small, yet very important part of this engine. What this engine drives—its purpose for expanding and contracting—that’s what I’m curious about. It’s unlikely that human beings are even capable of understanding purpose; like a tiny cell in our body, it has no idea why it functions, it simply does.

Imagine a cell in your body, then your body relative to the planet. Imagine the planet in the solar system, our solar system in the universe. Now imagine that our universe is to something greater what a cell in our body is to our universe. There is so much that we cannot comprehend.

I never favored any political party. Being a conservative or a liberal, a Republican or a Democrat, these are just labels that people use to categorize each other so that they can quickly decide whether or not they want to listen to what they have to say. Politicians are not interested in empathizing with each other. They simply try to do as little as possible in the way of serving the public while building their reputation among their peers, amassing power and wealth that is unimaginable to the common American citizen that they supposedly represent.

I never have time to write, and I always have a thousand distractions in my way. But still, I write. I write because I’m somehow obligated to do so. I only hope that there are people who feel the same obligation to read my stories.
