قد صح عندي بالتواتر ما كان بجوزجان في زماننا من أمر حديد - لعله زنة مائة خمسين منا - نزل من الهواء، فنشب في الأرض، ثم نبا نبوة الكرة، ثم عاد فنشب في الأرض، وسمع له صوت عظيم هائل، فلما تفقدوا أمره، ظفروا به، وحمل إلى والي جوزجان، فحاولوا كسر قطعة منه، فما عملت فيه الآلات إلا بجهد، فراموا عمل سيف منه فتعذر،
