Patience is a tough lesson to learn
It's a reward we wisely have to earn
But mastering it brings a paradigm shift
And we finally realize that life is a gift
Is every day an adventure with its own drive?
Or an interlocked link in the chain of our life?
Are we, then, the masters of our own milky way?
Or just conductors, confined to the music of today?
Life is a constant flux of ups and downs
A chain of happy smiles and edgy frowns
Just know that the purpose of each despair
Is to cherish your next peak when it's there
Everywhere you go you'll see highs and lows
These things are just part of life and its flows
It helps to understand that no place has it all
So we should cherish our blessings, large or small
When something in your life doesn't please you
You can decide to hang your head and feel blue
Or you can use your powerful mind as a treasure
To convert your present pain into future pleasure
If marriage licenses were like driver's licenses, only to be extended every two years if both parties agreed, life would be less complicated and people happier.
