The Tao that can be described is not the enduring and unchanging Tao.
Lao TzuThis is called 'the Mysterious Agreement.

Lao TzuIt is only by this moderation that there is effected an early return (to man's normal state).

Lao Tzuhe who goes on acting with energy has a (firm) will.
Lao TzuMen resort to him, and receive no hurt, but (find) rest, peace, and the feeling of ease.
Lao TzuWhen it once has that name, (men) can know to rest in it. When they know to rest in it, they can be free from all risk of failure and error.
Lao TzuThus it is that dignity finds its (firm) root in its (previous) meanness, and what is lofty finds its stability in the lowness (from which it rises).
