كل الحاجات كانت تضحك لما اقابلك
لا عرفت نفسي من قبلك ولا من بعدك
قبلك ماكانليش ولا حاجة
بعدك سنيني محتاجه

I felt a wave of longing roll out of me, but not the way it usually did, diffuse and sad. This was hopeful, as though it had been coaxed out by a whispered promise.

And then all will live in harmony with each other and the Earth
And then everywhere will be called Eden once again.

Longing, whether for a passion or person, is one of the most powerful, yet painful, emotions there is. It can drive you to its source under the most extreme conditions, or it can cripple you from obtaining your dreams. The ocean of the past, I still hide from so much of it and rely on all that I don't run from. Everything before him, I waited for the nightmare to end, and it did when he accepted me into his arms. It was a new birth, a new life, but it flashed too briefly and left me with only these rabid bits of time that eat me, these memories that haunt me, but he, the ghost I need, remains lost.
