عبر تاريخ طويل مررنا بهزائم و انكسارات , تركت آثارها فينا , بل حفرت داخلنا أخاديد جعلتنا نقنع بأقل القليل .. بل لا نطمح إلا بأقل القليل ..و هكذا فهمنا كل شيء من زاويته الأضيق.. و الأدنى .. و لم نعد نتوقع من أنفسنا إلا ما هو متدن و رديء فقدنا احترامنا لأنفسنا و تدنى تقويمنا لها و لإمكانياتنا .. لم نعد نتوقع من أنفسنا أي شيء إيجابي كما سيفعل شخص أدمن الهزيمة و صارت هويته اللصيقة به .
لم نعد نرضى بأوساط الحلول فحسب .. بل صرنا نرضى بالفتات .. بل نطالب بالفتات .. نفاوض من أجل الفتات .. بل ما هو دون الفتات ..في كل شيء... حتى فيما نتوقعه من الصلاة.
لا تكون رحلة النضوج هذه سهلة أبدا , بل إنها تشبه أحيانا احتراقا داخليا, ألم عظيم و مشقة ليست أثل من ألم و مشقة و معاناة الولادة,و ليست أقل قداسة في الوقت نفسه, فتغيير الذات مخاض عسير و صامت , الصراخ معه لا يجدي كما قد ينفع مع آلام المخاض الاعتيادي , بل هو يحتاج إلى صبر دؤوب و اصطبار حقيقي و متابعة لهذا الصير و ذلك الاصطبار ... و ينتج من ذلك كله معاناة حقيقية هي في جوهرها احتراق حقيقي , وصولا إلى النضوج ..إلى التغيير

يمكن للصلاة عندما تكون حقا صلاة , أن تكون خبزنا , لأنها ستعلمنا كيف نكون ناضجين بما فيه الكفاية لنصنع خبزنا بأنفسنا , الصلاة هي خبزنا الحقيقي لأنها ستجعلنا راشدين بما فيه الكفاية لنزرع قمحنا و نسقيه و نرعاه و من ثم نحصده لنطحنه و نأكل خبزنا من صنع أيدينا.
